Future Talent Programme

The GÉANT Learning and Development (GLAD) team along with GÉANT National Research and Education Network (NREN) partners, offers programmes to facilitate engagement between students, young professionals and the GÉANT community.

The Future Talent Programme (FTP) connects future talent with the GÉANT community and provides a platform for young voices. Participants receive professional presentation training to articulate their ideas and deliver powerful presentations. This allows them to showcase their research to industry experts, bringing young talent and the research and education networking fields together.

FTP26 opens for registration in December 2025. For more information please contact the GLAD team via the online form.

Future Talent Programme 2025

Lightning Talk Challenge

The Future Talent Programme gives students the exciting opportunity to present their research at GÉANT's TNC conference. Participants submit proposals for a 5-minute Lightning Talk, and finalists, chosen by the TNC Programme Committee, are invited to present live on stage at TNC, with travel expenses covered.

Participants who are not selected as finalists can still share their research via a self-recorded video on a dedicated web page, (explore examples here).

Participation in the TNC Lightning Talk Programme follows TNC's rules and formats.

“I gained a lot from FTP25. First and foremost, the knowledge and experiences I’ve acquired will stay with me throughout my academic and professional journey. From the beginning, the GLAD team provided clear and constructive feedback, which helped me communicate my ideas much more effectively.” Aurora Vasconcelos
