Maarten Meijer
Maarten is a MSc Computer Science student at the University of Twente, the Netherlands, specialising in Data Science. He is currently conducting his graduation research at GÉANT, where he is working on artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for Europe's education backbone network.
Maarten is passionate about artificial intelligence, with a particular interest in explainable AI for its ability to bridge technical complexities with social and business settings. This interest is further strengthened by his wide ranging experience, including roles such as Data Scientist at Nedap Livestock Management, and an extracurricular position as an External Relations Coordinator. Maarten's current work involves using Graph Neural Networks in an unsupervised manner for network traffic anomaly detection on GÉANT's network.
