Ismael is a researcher at the Computer Architecture Department of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain. Here he received a MSc and PhD with Cum Laude in Computer Architecture in 2010 and 2023, respectively. His research focuses on network security and privacy by means of the development of novel web tracking, and network anomaly detection algorithms.
Ismael has several years' experience as a program developer, as well as a network and system administrator. His expertise and research interests are in computer networks, especially in the field of network monitoring, anomaly detection, cybersecurity, internet privacy, and web tracking.
